The tree all lit in blue lights are things that Keith, Zack, and Griffin like. I really should change theirs from blue to an Alabama tree (I may do that next year). I can use red lights, but this year it's done. Both of these trees look so pretty with only the lights from the trees on. I should know by now to never say that you won't do something because........after I finished the kids trees upstairs I moved to the kitchen and put my tree up in there. I started making excuses by saying that we will eat our Thanksgiving dinner and have our Christmas decorations up because most of our family won't be together at Christmas so we are just celebrating both holidays. My husband told me to stop worrying because I could decorate for Christmas when I wanted....so I just might pull some more boxes out of the attic. Here's the tree in the kitchen.
See my orange slices that I dried and the gingerbread ornaments. I have plenty of those left to go on my BIG tree in the den.

The next post is my 100th (I think). Be watching!
I love love love all 3 trees! They are all precious! I really like the little dresses on the girl's tree.. too cute! I am also glad to know that my mother is not the only person in this world that has a Christmas tree in her kitchen. I was starting to worry about her :)
ReplyDeleteI have a tree in every room... even if most of them are tiny :). Don't feel bad for decorating early, my house will be completely decorated by Thanksgiving, except for the tree. I plan on remedying that first thing Friday morning.
ReplyDeleteYour trees are precious - all you need is a tutu tree-skirt for the girly one!
How pretty everything looks! The trees for the grandchildre are so sweet. But I just LOVE that kitchen tree. Those oranges look great. I would never have thought of using them but its just perfect. Hope you don't mind if I borrow your idea.
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Lea
I love the orange slices on the tree....so colonial! Beth
ReplyDeleteI just love the trees for your grandchildren! I bet they can't wait until you put them up. What fun memories they'll have of them growing up. Your orange slices turned out just perfect and they look great on your kitchen tree. I agree with your husband--you can put up your decorations any time you want!
ReplyDeleteSue, I love all of your trees, but I especially love the kitchen tree with the orange slices. I might have to make me some too...
ReplyDeleteI think decorating for Christmas adds to the Thanksgiving holiday. I am decorating early too because I know my family will be here for Thanksgiving but not sure if they will all be here for Christmas. I love your themed trees for the boys and girls and the one in the kitchen really is adorable...Enjoy them-The season is short this year!
ReplyDeleteRobin~♥
All three of your trees look great! I especially love the little girl's one...it reminds me of a tree my mom used to put up for me when I was little. Only I didn't have pink lights...that is too cute:) And don't feel guilty ...you know my Christmas has been out for over a week now! I was feeling bad about it being so early too...but then I got over it because everything looked so nice:) Have a great day! <3Lauren
ReplyDeleteSue~
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of having all of these different trees scattered around the house! My favorite is the orange slice and gingerbread one!
Thanks for sharing your truly awesome trees.
Have a good day!

ReplyDeleteOh, Sue, I'm so glad you did decorate! I get so excited to go to a blog and see Christmas decor! I love all three trees! Joy's tree has pink too...she's going to love this one...I'll show it to her!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on drying the oranges! I've never tried that...did you hang them to dry or do so in an oven? Very cute!
Have a great day! By the way, we're going to be in Alabama over Thanksgiving! :)

Hi Sue! Yep, icing is the same as confectioner's and I just use regular old flour... well, not OLD flour, but I'm sure you know what I mean!
ReplyDeleteLet me know how they turn out for you!
Blessings, Kimberly
Sue,
ReplyDeleteI will be in Florence, AL. We'll be doing the crazy shopping thing on Friday! It's always lots of fun with so many of us...then we have lunch!

Thank you my dear sweet Sue!!! :D
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT ALL!!!
LOVE your trees too!!
Looks so homey, Sue. If you keep it up you might just get me in the mood to do something. I always wanted to put a tree in my kitchen and have mini kitchen gadgets on it but my kitchen is too small. Yours looks great!
ReplyDeleteAll three trees are so cute! I bet the one in the kitchen smells so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSue....I love all your trees! I gotta go back and see how you did the oranges again. I think that would be so pretty in my kitchen and the smell to.
ReplyDeleteLove the tree with the tulle. Thanks for sharing and yeah I am putting mine up since my family will not all be togther for Christmas.
