We had a WONDERFUL Easter....hope you did too! We had a great service at church and then had family over for lunch. We had ham, turkey and dressing, corn, green beans, lima beans, sweet potato casserole, hash brown casserole, and potato salad. I won't even tell you about the yummy desserts....only that I walked farther this afternoon hoping to burn some of the calories! After lunch my neighbor (who is as generous as any person I know) hid a basket of eggs that he brought. Inside each egg was money ranging from $1 to $10 in quarters (in one egg). This brought the adults out of the house looking for their own eggs. My daughter found eggs that had a total of $20 herself. The kids had much fun counting their money after the hunt was over too. I didn't get in on the hunt because I was too busy making pictures. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed being with family and friends. I missed my son and his family but know that they had a great time in Louisiana. It won't be long before we'll see them. I hope that you were able to spend time with your family and also remembered the REAL meaning of Easter.
Wow...I would have liked to participate in that egg hunt, too! How fun! So glad you had such a good time with your family, Sue!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful hunt. Wish I had been there :-)
ReplyDeleteFrank and I celebrated alone, but we did talk with our children on the phone.
