This is a picture of the wall hangings that Kristen painted for Emma's room. I just love them but am so upset because I can not get a picture made with the colors as pretty as they really are. I know it's something that I am not doing correctly. These will hang over her bed and they middle one is 16 x 20 and the two on each side are 11 x 14. Emma's bedding has pink, yellow, green, and blue in it so Kristen came up with this cute design. I can't wait to see them hanging on her wall.
I have a special request for you. Please say a prayer for my nine year old grandson. He is such a precious little boy and a joy to us. My daughter, Amy, and her husband adopted he and his younger brother when they were three and four (were foster parents for a year prior to that). He has struggled in school, even with the best teachers. Last year he was tested and we found that he has dyslexia. My daughter contantly searches for ways to "unlock" the knowledge that he has but is unable to transfer (at this time). He is just now beginning to notice that he is treated differently by friends and even some adults. Take a moment and read her blog today, but pray for him also.
Oh, my. I can sure identify with "special" children. I wish our society was more accepting of those who are "different". I'll keep him in my prayers. The plaques are goregous!!. Till later - Sharon
ReplyDeleteI will keep him and Amy in my prayers. I think Amy's blog post opened up a lot of peoples eyes!
ReplyDeleteI love the paintings Kristin did for Emma. I just emailed her to do some for Ava Reese! They are TOO cute!
I will keep Amy and your grandson in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThe monogramed wall hangings are absolutely adorable! Too CUTE!
Again we are reminded that God has a perfect plan Sue! What better family to give this wonderful child to than the Garrett's? An entire family that has been called to teach; and I know first hand what special teachers you all are!!
ReplyDeleteHe knew Amy's son before he was born, He knew he would be special, and He knew the perfect, special family to help him overcome and show the world how wonderfully exceptional he is!
All my love,
Tammy
What pretty wall hangings! Oh, what I'd give to be that talented!
ReplyDeleteI will most definitely say a prayer for your grandson and your daughter! I have always had a special spot in my heart for children who struggle in one way or another. Why can't people just love others as they are and encourage them to reach their full potential, whatever that may mean? This world would be a much better place! Sending hugs your way!
Those wall hangings look awesome! I can just imagine how wonderful they look in real life!
ReplyDeleteI will pray for your grandson! So many people struggle with dyslexia! It's amazing how they overcome it...and he will too! Many fine actors have dyslexia...Orlando Bloom from "Pirates of the Carribean" has it...maybe that will make him feel better!
Hi Sue, I will indeed keep your grandson in my prayers. In this day and age you would thing the school district could help him but it seems it varies widely from one to another. I pray that support comes their way!! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteI will keep your grandson and Amy in my prayers...it's a struggle, but I have faith that he'll overcome this and be just fine...it's all part of God's plan-no matter what...he'll be fine ;)!
I love the wall hanging!
Ya know what...I think it's really really hard to take a good picture, the "colors" never show up perfectly! Seems they are either way lighter and washed out looking...OR they are some how magically morphed into an entirly differnt color LOL!! ;)
Have a wonderful day
hugs-kath
I know you have to be so proud of the strong woman that your daughter is. She is inspiring! The Lord has blessed those boys with giving them to her and he will continue to work his miracles in their lives.
ReplyDeleteSue,
ReplyDeleteI will most definitely pray for your grandson. I have a nephew that has struggled with this all his life. He is now 20 years old. It hurts (and frustrates) me to see how some people treat him.
I'm glad you decided to play along on the letter game. How does the letter "C" sound? Hope it's not too hard! Can't wait to see what you come up with!
And I love the letters for Emma's room! Those are darling!
Have a great trip!
Blessings,
Tammy
Amy and her son will be in our prayers. We serve a BIG God and he is able to protect and take care of his little children.
