MAKING PROGRESS

Thought I'd show you that I am making progress on the dress I'm smocking for Emma. I helped with a baby shower at church Saturday so I didn't get much done other than housework and that. However, after church yesterday I sat and smocked for awhile and loved every minute. This dress is red (I know it looks pink) and I'm smocking it all in white. I hope to have at least two of the three finished before we go the end of the month. I will show you pictures of the completed projects.
It's COLD in Alabama this week. I know that many of you have much colder temperatures all winter but it has been so warm here the past few weeks until my bushes are beginning to bud. There's even a chance of snow flurries tomorrow. YEAH!! Have a great week!

Your smocking is coming along beautifully, Sue! Can't wait to see the finished product!

We've got some COLD weather here in Georgia this morning, too! It's been unseasonably warm lately, so I welcome the change.

Have a terrific Monday!

It is just so precious. Can't wait to see it finished!

Our temps got a little bit warmer...in the 60's but are supposed to drop again by tomorrow.

It sure is cold in Bama! LOL! We want snow too, but not a lot. Just enough for our grandaughter to get to expereince it and have fun. We haven't had snow since she was born!

The baby dress is so pretty! And how special that you are hand smocking it. That's something I could never do.

Have a great week!

You are seriously making me want to smock again. It's been years! My baby girl is 21 now. Maybe one day I'll get a granddaughter- although my little grandsons are indescribably precious. They just aren't fun to sew for!

I don't know a thing about smocking but it looks to me like you have made lots of progress. I just love smocking but it really looks complicated. I haven't head the weather today and didn't know snow flurries are in the forecast. OMG, I hope not --- unless we get to come home and sit by the fire. Have a great week! Sharon

Sue,
This is really a lovely combination. I love the tiny red & white gingham. It brings back a memory for me. I used a tiny yellow and white gingham to smock and make a day gown for my first baby. Keep up the beautiful work!
