BOWLING WITH GRIFFIN

Today is Griffin's fifth birthday. He chose a bowling party and it was last night with his friends. Here he is with his BIG green bowling ball.

I had not been to a birthday bowling birthday party for kids, but it was great. They had them three lanes set up with the pads so they wouldn't get frustrated if their bowling balls didn't go straight. The adults had their own lane ....wished at times there were pads in the lanes for ME....and we had a great time. Of course, there was pizza (which is a favorite). The kids (and moms & dads) ate pizza throughout the night while waiting on friends to bowl.
Here is Griffin (in the red shirt) watching his little buddy, Blake, bowl. Blake's dad is our pastor at church.

CAKE TIME! I made this picture just as Griffin was blowing out his candles. The employees at the bowling place did everything. You can see one of them holding the cake and then she cut it and served everyone. All mom and dad had to do was pay! There were many other children who are not in the picture....sorry!
It doesn't seem like it has been five years since this miracle came into our lives (another post). His mom and dad and two brothers were living with us at the time because they were building a house and it wasn't quite finished. Grandchildren are wonderful....just ask any grandparent. Happy Birthday, Griffin!

Sue, please pick up the Lemonade Award at my blog: http://zarogasnook.blogspot.com/2009/02/award.html. I was just too sick at the time to name specific names. You really deserve the award.

Happy birthday to Griffin! This is a good day for a birthday; it is my youngest son's 33rd BD. That bowling party idea is new to me but it really looks like a good one. And you're right, they grow up so quickly!! Enjoy all you can. Sharon

You really can't beat a bowling party...we've done that for our girls several times and they had such fun! What wonderful pictures you shared...especially the one of him blowing out his candles! Oh, I can just feel the excitement!

Now that's one little boy that looks like he's having a "ball"! :) Joy went to a bowling party of a friend of hers and it was so much fun, like you said, and they took care of everything! You can't beat that!

I know Griffin is a blessing to you all! Happy birthday to him (belated)!
