OUTSIDE MY WINDOW

Recently we have seen more birds outside our window, including BEAUTIFUL cardinals, which are my favorite. Most of the time I will look out my kitchen window and see five or six birds eating at one time. This morning I watched as birds would fly in and eat. I knew that the feed was disappearing fast and thought nothing about it because of the number of birds I would see. However......I looked out a little later and saw the real reason the food was disappearing so quickly. This is what was there.......

Look at the squirrel eating away. His friend was on the ground about to join the feast. I watched them for a few minutes and wondered how long this has been happening. Guess I'll continue to feed birds and squirrels.

Hi Sue, I have three squirrels that come to my feeder and they are so greedy! I don't grudge them some food, but they will totally empty a feeder in no time. I really enjoy watching the birds from my kitchen table.

Cute, CUTE....we also have those squirrels that come to eat. They forage around under the bird feeder for the seeds the birds dropped. I also enjoy watching all the birds from my kitchen window.

I have 6 squirrels that visit my feeder-They keep multiplying every year! I finally had to put a squirrel guard up on my feeder because they were eating me out of house and home. I do however by whole raw peanuts in big bags for the squirrels and Jays.
If I don't feed them peanuts they eat my dogs dry food.
Love your photos!

Aren't those little squirrels just the cutest things! I always wonder what makes them so nervous. We have many squirrels in our yard and my back door neighbor feeds the birds but I've seen the squirrels helping themselves to the bird seed, too! Enjoy!
