My church is sending 20 people on a mission trip to Costa Rica in July (my husband and I are going) and we have been raising money for several months for this trip. Last fall we sold beautiful mums, had a comedy/dinner at church, had several Sunday dinners, sold Boston butts & ribs to name a few of the fund raisers.....and now we are taking orders for hanging baskets. This is the last week that we are selling these. They will be delivered next week. So if any of you LOCAL people would like to help us (and "beautify" your home, please leave me a comment. We're selling ferns, impatients, petunias, regular geraniums, and ivy geraniums (these have smaller leaves and fall over the baskets). Each basket is $13.00.

SPRING IS HERE
Spring is finally here and so is the pollen that comes at this time of year. However, we are getting MUCH rain today (and last night) so I'm hoping the yellow stuff goes away and takes the sneezing and watery eyes with it! My front yard looks like I live on a lake today but I am not complaining. After the drought we had last year I will never complain about rain. I am praying the bad weather misses us that may come later tomorrow. Now for these beautiful hanging baskets..........

Well you better believe that if I lived closer I would be ordering some of those beautiful baskets. I just love baskets like that!
We could order a couple if y'all didn't mind hauling them down here on your next trip. If it's too much trouble I understand but we were just talking about maybe getting something to hang from our deck. Sorry we won't be seeing you this weekend!
My grey car has turned green with pollen! I'm so excited about your trip - it's going to be wonderful. blessings, marlene
Oh, those baskets are so gorgeous, Sue! I'd be buying a heap of them if you lived in my area...guaranteed! Good luck on rasing money for your mission trip...I so admire you and your hubby for answering God's call. I know you will be blessed!
We've been getting a lot of rain here...more is on it's way! We really needed it!
My allergies have eased up today with the rain.. but then the mold spores will come...ah... vicious circle :-)
The plants are beautiful. I've forgotten where in Alabama you are... but I can't come right now anyway :-(
I know you are looking forward to that trip.
I can't believe I almost forgot about this!! I want two ferns and two ivy geraniums. What are the color choices on the flowers and when/where do I need to pick them up? Thank you so much!!
Hey Sue - looks like you have been busy!!! Love that fern - you can never have enough ferns!!!! I usually keep about 12 myself and I'd love to have about 20!!! You had ask me about the pansies - well since you are in Alabama - I don't know if I'd encourage you to do a lot with them because I would assume they would die out early since you all warm up so much quicker down there. I personally jus' put out a few and then start all over. But it's jus a preference thing - if you wanted to mix in other flowers - you certainly could. Happy plantin' and have lots of fun! Cathy
Sue,
Any color is fine - it really doesn't matter to me. If I had a preference it would probably be red but really not important :)
I am dog-sitting for Josh & Kristin next week, and I'm not sure if I will still be up there Thursday night or not. Can I let you know later in the week?
Sue I'm excited to learn more about your mission trip to Costa Rica in July. You'll have to fill us in when you have time.
These beautiful flowering baskets are just what I need to see to cheer me up in all the rain we're having. I wish I lived near you because I would certainly order some!
I love hanging baskets...I just bought 3 hanging ferns Saturday! Good luck with the mission girl...it is raining here today but I'm not complaining...we need it! have a great week my friend!
