YOU ASKED FOR IT

I promised on my last post that I would give you the recipe for the cake I made for Amy's birthday and had some requests (even those who didn't leave a comment but saw me). If you like coconut and pecans, this might be a favorite from now on........
GERMAN CHOCOLATE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE
1 cup coconut
1 cup pecans (chopped)
1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 stick margarine
1 8 oz. cream cheese (soft)
1 16 oz. powdered sugar
* Combine coconut and pecans and spread in 9 x 13 sprayed pan
* Prepare cake mix according to directions on box. Pour cake batter
mix over coconut and nuts mixture
* Place margarine and cream cheese in a sauce pan and heat until
mixture is warm enough to stir. Take off heat and add sugar.
Mix well (I used my mixer).
* Spoon over cake batter and bake for 30 - 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
* Let cake cool.

Oh, my......SO GOOD!!
Next will be the Chicken Casserole Recipe that someone requested.

Hi Sue,

Yes, it takes many many coats of paint so that the chalk pens don't leave marks. I had to repaint my chalkboard and instead of using the pens anymore I am just using chalk.

The pens do work well on chalkboards you buy at the store already made though. ????
They must bake them or something to seal them after painting.
