TEACHING AN OLD DOG.......

I've always heard the saying, "IT'S HARD TO TEACH AN OLD DOG NEW TRICKS!" Well....I'm not saying I'm a dog......but I'm getting older, and I'm about ready to scream with trying to change my background. I look at all of your beautiful blogs with pictures of your homes, decorations, etc. and I'm having a difficult time even changing my background. One day I am going to learn how it's done and post a picture on my heading. I have found that people in blogland are so ready to help. Robin and Picket both have helped me when I first started blogging. There are still many things I want to add to my blog, and I will when I master ask enough people for help (THANKS Darlene). It worked!! I have been seeing the strike-over and couldn't figure out how it was done. I left her a comment and she emailed me instructions for doing this. I'll have to keep these instructions handy or I'll forget how it is done.

I made my muscadine jelly tonight and it is YUMMY! Also, I only peeled half of the pears last night because I was wanting to get to bed on time to check my blog. I had 5 jars of preserves out of those last night. I will finish them tomorrow since I am off.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me when I had a question about my blog. My husband says I'm addicted to blogging and he's right!

I can help anytime...email me at bethlowman@bellsouth.net if you need help. I will do what I can.

YEA SUE....it worked the strike outs work!!!! I am so glad!

Your background looks great...let me help you one more time (cause I did the same thing when I was trying to change mine) go under layout and hit pick new template and your first sample blog will have Minima - click on that and save and it will take those dots away from the top and format it right. Trust me, I had the same first background as you and when I first tried to change mine had the same thing as you do now with those dots.

WOO HOO....now it is FABULOUS!!!!!

I knew in the instructions it said to hit minima but I could not for the life of me figure out what that was until I was telling my hubby that I couldn't find ANYTHING that said that and all of a sudden there it was!!!!!

Hey girl...beautiful background! What in the world is that strike over thing y'all are talking about! lol Ok here is what i do to add a pic to my header..click on customize at the top of your screen on the blog...your template page will come up...click on edit in the square that says header...when that screen comes up just go browse and find the pic you want and download and save....when you want a pic on the side bar..click customize again....see the little box that says add a gadget...click it and go browse and download your pic and save...you can move all your side bar stuff around by clicking on it and holding down the clicker and drag it to where ever you want it on the side bar...while you are on the customize template page thingy...there did any of that make sense? then do like I do play with it and have a good cry and hopefully the computer fairy will have mercy on you and all at once you will hit a button and it will work (lordy knows what you did..but you did it! lol lol) I wish I knew more about this kind of stuff girl...it can make you feel like a doofus! But you are so far ahead of me..look at you!
