MY FAVORITE FIND

Rhoda from Southern Hospitality (one of my favorite blogs) is having a blog party for anyone to post their favorite yard/estate sale find. My favorite find is really unbelievable. I must tell you how I came upon this beautiful set of pink depression glass dishes. I found the cups and saucers in a plastic dishpan. I asked about buying them and was told that I could just have them. I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. Before I could get my thoughts together I was told, "I think there's some plates somewhere that match them and I don't need them either." Sure enough.....there was an entire set of the most beautiful pink depression glass that I had ever seen. I paid $0.00 for this entire set. This has to be my favorite find!

OMG! What is the pattern? Is it Cherry Blossom? I know someone that would die for that collection! You have it displayed so beautifully. I do hope you use it too. I am a sucker for vintage dishes and glasswear. I collect dewdrop and was thinking of posting about it today! I love the snack sets too. My find was free, but your free find is a true treasure. It is amazing when people do not know exactly what they have. My Grandma owned an Antique Mall. I have admired similar dishes to these before. Beautiful!!

That is unbelievable! I am collecting those dishes and do you know how much they cost?! I only have a few serving pieces and they serve me well right now, but do you know how much they are worth?!? What a find, Congrats!!!!

I am so glad to meet you through Rhoda's blog----and the thrift find day! First, you have to have won the "thrifiest find" award! I'll bet there are antique dealers out there keeling over as they read how you acquired that set of depression glass dishes! Second, I love your flip-flops! What a great idea---and I'm glad it is successful for you. Third, I see you are new to blogging, too!
