"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."
Malachi 3:10 (NIV)

I love the Blue Ridge Plates. You were collecting them when you were assistant Principal. I like the schoolhouse clock too. Shawn did a nice job on the wood floors in the breakfast room too.
I love you gingham curtains...And your beautiful granite countertops...Such a nice kitchen...Yes, get that black paint out! :) I did it to one of my cabinets and LOVE it!

I love the different bowels and how you have them displayed.

Your kitchen is really pretty. Love the plates about the cabinets. I think that one piece painted black would look great!
Your kitchen is so cute and homey. I love the bowls on a shelf and I am jealous of that big bay window you have in your eating area. You asked about my chair planter and yes, my husband cut a hole in the chair and the pot sits down in it. Sooooo easy! I have some more old chairs that I want to do the same thing to.
Sue,
Your kitchen is SO pretty! I especially love your breakfast nook...I just love bay windows! I think the cabinet would look nice black, but I know how it is too when your hubby doesn't want you to paint something! Beautiful kitchen!

Your kitchen is great. I love the Blue Ridge plates. My mom has a few pieces and I've always admired them. The shelf with bowls above the doorway? VERY cute!
I just found your blog from Catnabarn. Im so glad I did! I will be back to visit for sure, I LOVE your kitchen. Im redoing my counters and have been thinking about putting bead board as a back splash, your kitchen pics just confirmed for me! Thank you :)
Have a great day,
Stephanie
Your kitchen is really cozy and I can see why you enjoy spending time there. I love the shelf above the doorway with the bowls.

I love your kitchen and your bowls! LOL! I have a sickness for bowls!
Your kitchen is so nice and neat! I love that you put your special things on display on shelves. And I like to use my stuff too, when I can!
Have a happy day!
Sue, you have a very cozy & homey kitchen. I'm sure lots of good things are cooked up in there. I do think that little cabinet would look good painted black, unless it's really an antique or something.
Hey, don't feel like you have to post every single day. I decided when I started blogging that I would only post about every other day & that works out great for me. I would go nuts if I put that much pressure on myself by having to post every day.

Oh!Oh!Oh! I am stealing the shelf above the door idea! I love that!! Your kitchen is beeeaautiful! I will expect a wonderful dinner from it when I come visit my BAMA friends in the future! ;-)
Hello Sue....I just came over to check out your kitchen...I love it! All the "goodies" you have displayed. Oh...and i would paint that cabinet black! You sound just like me.....don't ask just do it for fear they WILL say no.

I love your kitchen and dining room area...it looks so comfy and cozy. I love all of your collections too. Yeah, I think you should go for it on the cabinet!
I love your kitchen and I love painting things black. But if it is a family heirloom or something, then I don't know... You asked about what people like to see in blogs; for me it is just what you are doing today. Showing your home, sharing recipes or crafts; even showing where you are going; i.e vacation or even just a trip to the local thrift shop. These are all things I see when I visit blogs. Its nice that I can sit here in my sewing room in Michigan and visit my blog friend in Scotland, go to Australia, down to Missouri, then Texas, run out to California and Arizona and back to Ohio and Michigan; all in one day!!! Without using any gas!! So I guess that it is all the things you have done; and whatever you do in the future. I like learning about new places and people. Thanks for sharing your bit of the world with me!
Merrie
